Third set of cards created with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse – Tonic Studios

Hello there, I am back with the last set of DIY cards, created with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and various Tonic Studios products. These were samples for the QVC show on the 30th of May, 2018. The show will feature sets with Tonic Studios product, among other things the German sentiments which I know some of you been wanting to get. So don´t miss the show there!!

But now to the cards – here is the last 4:

The cards 1-3 show the backgrounds I created on this video:

and the 4th card is just something I created extra as I was in the creative mood and wanted to play a little more. It features the same stenciling technique like on the previous cards, just on a pink background. Annnndd…also some bits from the Violin cards, shared earlier on my blog here. And there is also some 7 Dots Studios paper on one of the cards on this set too – just love the combination on gold, silver, pearl and blue!!! And I almost forgot to mention, that the chipboard is again by the lovely Wycinanka :).

If you came to my blog thru this post, then the first two postsare are here and here. Hope you like the video and get inspired to create fun and easy bacgrounds with Nuvo Mousse. Have fun playing!!!

Happy crafting,

One background, two cards – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello everyone, it´s time to share another guest post over at Elizabeth Craft Designs blog today. For today´s post, I´ve created two love themed cards that can be used for example for Mother´s Day.

What I did, is I created only one background piece with heat embossing and inking technique and with a clever trick I got two cards out of just one background piece. Here is what I did:

Step 1: Take a piece of Soft Finish White Cardstock and cut it into a card size. It can be slightly bigger, so you can adjust the size after finishing the background.
Step 2: Take the Love Sentiments clear stamp set and stamp with embossing ink onto the cardstock piece. Don´t worry, if the images are not perfectly aligned. That only makes the background look more interesting.
Step 3: Stamp 2-3 rows and then pause to apply white embossing powder over the stamped images. Apply the powder and heat set with a heat tool. Then repeat stamping and embossing, until you reach the bottom of the card.
Step 4: For additional fun interest, add also some crosswise stamping across the cardstock surface.

Step 5: Now take a Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink and apply it all over the cardstock piece with a blending tool.
Step 6: Next place the inked piece into your die cutting machine and die cut 15 little hearts with the Buttons die cut die from it. Make sure this time the die is aligned nicely to from 3 rows of hearts next to each other.
Step 7: Then take two white card bases and a sheet of Clear Double Sided Adhesive. Cut a slightly smaller piece of the adhesive than the size of the card to leave some white space around both edges. Cut two pieces in the same manner.
Step 8: Take the embossed and inked negative piece and adhere it onto a piece of adhesive, but don´t touch the adhesive areas. This way the glitter will better stick to the surface later.

Step 9: Remove the protective cover sheet of the adhesive and apply Light Brown Silk Microfine Glitter onto the open areas. Remove residue with the brush and polish the surface with your finger.
Step 10: Adhere this piece onto the card base. Then repeat the steps 8-10 with the die cut hearts and the Clear Double Sided Adhesive and the glitter.
Step 11: Finally, take a leftover piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock, the Love Sentiments stamp set and stamp sentiments using a black stamp ink. Cut into banners and adhere with a paper glue onto the cards. For detailed steps, see the attached video.

This way you have just created a positive and negative card using the exact same technique and still you have two slightly different cards as an end result. Also now you can give one card to your Mum and the second one to your Mother-in-law or your Grandmother. I hope you have enjoyed this months card idea and the video.

Wishing you a great time crafting & see you next month!

Clean and simple teen boy birthday card – Tonic Studios

Hello lovelies, today I´d like to share a teen boy birthday card with a video tutorial  with you. For this card I´ve used mainly Tonic Studios product – starting from the paper cutter until the decorational elements, created with Nuvo Mousse.

Here is the card I created:

I used the Tonic Studios Verso Striped Number dies to create the focal point of this card and added a Tonic Studios German die cut sentiment to go with the card. There are now plenty of sentiments available also in German at Tonic Studios which is really great.

For decoration I added some Nuvo Mousse Teal droplets onto the background and finished the card off with some cork stars. All in all this Card is really easy (and quite fast) to make. I kept to a very clean and simple style, since the card IS created for a boy´s birthday.

To give you a better idea of the card creating process, I again recorded a video for you to watch – hope you like it:

There is a full set of number dies available, so you can basically create a card for any occation with them! I really enjoyed creating this card – I am going to need one for a 18th birthday very soon too and I already have the tools for that at home :).

Have a lovely, creative weekend, everyone!
