Hello and happy Saturday! How about some farmhouse style Christmas cards for a change? I still have some fabulous papers from my DT time at Canvas Corp Brands and I wanted to make some cards with them for Christmas.
So I picked their mix & match paper pad called “Farmhouse Christmas” and did these three cards. I have been joining a Christmas cards swap group over at Flickr for (I think) at least 5 years now, if not longer?! and this year I´ m joining in again – one of these cards might just end up be sent for my swap partner. I will also need to do quite few cards, like every year, so it´ s good to have a set done already.
These cards are very easy to do, thanks to the paper pad. I just basically cut the papers into a right size and adhered everything on place. That´ s it! BUT, because the papers are so cool, they really still look special.
Wishing you all a great weekend! Hope all is good at your end? Here the covid numbers are again rising. Somehow there just seems to be no end to this… hoping we will not start with lockdowns again. xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Monday! I have now officially started on my yearly Christmas cards. Late, like every year ;-). I have quite a few to do, so I will be sharing them here from time to time, sometimes maybe even in bulk, so you don´ t get bored :). Here is today´ s share:
The papers are by Canvas Corp Brands, from my DT time there and I´ ve added a half pearl from my junk drawer and a precut glitter snowflake as a focal point. A Christmas card always can use some glitter, if you as me.
I really, really like the simplicity of this particular card. Also the colours. Too bad I don´ t have more of this gorgeous paper in my stash. It makes fab xmas card backgrounds!
Hoping your week will be a good one! See you on Wednesday with a Xmas card tutorial share and also stop by later this week for more card shares :). xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I´m stopping by to share a retirement card of another kind. I have still some of the lovely Canvas Corp Brands papers left from my design team time in their team and they were perfect for this card assignment.
It´s a retirement card for someone who has been working for a very long time in a company that has to do with certification and norms and regulations as well as safety. Thus the “denglish” (german translated into english word for word) sentiment “all in green area” is just perfect for this card. Also the clock (=no need to set the alarm clock any more) and the german explanation underneath work really well for this purpose. The paper goods are all from Canvas Corp and the stamps are all Klartext, except for the retiment sentiment inside. That is by Stampin´ Up.
You will not come across a retirement card like this anywhere else. It is unique. I really do hope the person receiving this also “get´s” it, you know?
That´s all for today, hope your day is getting along nicely! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Monday!! Today I´m sharing another set of Christmas cards. This card set is done using Canvas Corp papers.
I love the kraft paper on the background with the Christmas sentiments on it!! And I combined a very bright green, white and red toned paper (also by Canvas Corp) with the kraft paper and they work together really well! I´ve just added a few buttons and pieces of ribbon to the cards for detail, but didn´t want to overdo them. I find the papers themselves look fabulous enough!!
One more full week and then we are almost there! How are your Christmas preparations going along? I still have so much to prepare. And it´s been a very strange year all in all, pre and during the pandemic and I´m not sad to see 2020 go, to be honest. I just hope next year will be slightly better. I´m not wishing much this year, just that the situation would get better eventually. So scared this will just go on and on..
But for today, I´m just thankful that we have been healthy so far and that I can get my mind off the awful things thru my crafting. Wishing you all a good day! Stay healthy!! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Thursday!!! Today I´m on the mood for sharing a Christmas card with you again. This time with plenty of sparkle :). I used a STAMPlorations slimline stencil with Tonic Studios Nuvo Glitter Paste to create the background.
As a base for that I used a piece of red cardstock which creates a really nice contrast to the background with the glitter. On the sides I have sand toned velvet ribbon from my older product stash. Still going strong with stash busting here :).
To finish the card off I added some fussy cut pieces from Canvas Corp. papers I had left over from my design team gig from a few years back. The papers themselves are very modern, but still work really well with the velvet and the glitter and together, funny enough, create a really cool vintage looking card.
I´ll leave you with this card today, but be sure to come and visit my blog tomorrow, because I am part of the 6th annual STAMPlorations Giving Thanks blog hop that goes live tomorrow!! So don´t miss that one!! See you tomorrow!! Also, a friendly reminder on the ongoing Christmas special sale at STAMPlorations:
See you tomorrow! Have a great day! xxx, Sanna
