Calendar Mist Kit | Papierstau

Hello lovelies and welcome to the Bella BLVD and Canvas Corp Brands Team Up week!! Today I´d like to share my second design team-up project with you – a bright and happy layout created with the Sweet Sweet Spring papers and Tattered Angels spray inks:

As a starting point I took a piece of Ken Oliver Water Media Paper, and using a pencil drew the areas onto the paper where my photos will later be. I then took a water tank paint brush and used the Tutti Frutti tone from the Candendar Mist Kit (English Garden) to paint some hearts onto the background (for supplies, see links on the end of this post).

After drawing the hearts I used the Iris Baseboard tone from the same Calendar Kit and added purple droplets onto the background around the photos.

Next I used the Olive Wine Glimmer Mist from the same calendar kit and drew green flowers with a paint brush onto the background.

I wanted to add soem stamping around the photos, so I took a 7gypsies stamp and a turquoise marker to create blue stamped images.

Finally I also used the Ivory Baseboard tone from the Calendar Kit to create white droplets here and there for additional detail.

Then I added some yellow and pink spray ink droplets onto the background (Summer Glow, Tea Cup & Rosey from Tattered Angels). I also colored the Bella BLVD Chipboard Scripts with the kit colors and added some faux stitching with a white gel pen.

I then cut the water media paper into a right size and several different paper strips on the sides of the layout from the Sweet Sweet Spring collection.

Finally I outlined some of the papers and the red hearts with a black pen, added some white hightlights here and there and stamped a date next to the photos. And I could not leave my favorite product, the black Glimmer Glaze unused, so in the end I added just a few droplets fo black here and there for additional contrast.

Hello lovelies and welcome to the Bella BLVD and Canvas Corp Brands Team Up week!! I am very thrilled to be able to be part of this design team-up and would like to share a total of three projects with you! The first one is an Easter present set with an altered (chocolate filled) can and a matching card to go with it:

As a starting point I took a plain, from the bottom fillable can and covered it with the „Sweet, sweet spring“ collection papers and stickers by Bella BLVD (for supplies, see direct links at the end of this post). Next I used a flower die cut die and cut three same sized flowers from the „Bloomin´ Beauties“ & „To Dye For“ papers. After that I fussy cut four leaves from the Canvas Corp Brands 12×12 Burlap Sheet – Avocado.

After rolling and glueing the flowers together I adhered them, the rope pieces (Avocado & Orange cord hemp rope) and the burlap leaves onto the can in a cluster. I filled the centres of the flowers with some hot blue color fragments. Next I used the English Garden Calender Mist Kit (see for more kit colors here!) and misted some plain white paper rosebuds with the kit colors to match the rolled paper flowers on the can. After that I added a sticker sentiment on top.After finishing the can, I immediately filled it from the bottom and placed the black cover onto it´s place. I then created a simple card to go with the can. I used the same papers, burlap and mists as on the can. I also added some purple spray color dots around the card (outlined with a white gel pen) using the purple mist tone from the calendar kit. Here is how the finished set looks like: This paper collection is perfect for those happy and bright Easter and Spring projects and it works so well with the Tattered Angels English Garden Calendar Mist Kit!! And the rope and burlap add a really nice touch to the paper collection too. Oh, and once the can has been opened and the chocolate eaten, the can can still be used as a table decoration and/or for storing all kinds of tidbits.
