Mother´s Day set – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello everyone, time for another Elizabeth Crafts Designs project post. Today I´m sharing a Mother´s Day card and present box set with you. For this set I used the Through the Lens – Metal paper series papers with the Fitted Circles, the Stitched Rectangles and the Bunch of Flowers 4 die cut dies. This is how I created both the card and the packaging.

Sanna LippertStep 1: Take a piece of watercolor paper and apply Brusho Chrystal Colour onto it, mist with water spray and let dry. Sanna LippertStep 2: Use the Bunch of Flowers 4 die cut die set to cut flowers from the previously created watercolor paper. Sanna LippertStep 3: Apply Double Sided Adhesive tape onto a 4×5,5 inch sized piece of white cardstock and adhere the blue paper from the Through the Lens – Metal paper set onto the white cardstock piece. Now cut a hole into the upper middle of the paper using the Fitted Circles die cut die. Sanna LippertStep 4: Cut a piece of brown Through the Lens – Metal paper using the Banners die cut die set. Cut a piece of twine and draw a circle onto a white card base for placement guide.Sanna Lippert Sanna LippertStep 5: Cut a small circle and use a marker to color it red. Then adhere into the middle of the previously cut banner piece. Adhere the banner onto the twine and then adhere the paper over the banner using 3D foam pads. Sanna LippertStep 6: Adhere the flowers around the circle overlappingly and add silver puffy stars here and there for additional decoration. Sanna LippertStep 7: Outline the card with a white gel pen and attach a bow for decoration. Cut a Hello sentiment and color it with a marker or use a colored cardstock, adhere underneath the bow. The card is finished.Sanna Lippert Sanna LippertStep 8: Use a milk carton cutting template and cut from a light blue cardstock, then assembly the carton, outline the edges with a white gel pen. Cut rectangles with the Stitched Rectangles die cut set and adhere onto the sides of the carton. Use leftover Brusho flowers and mini hearts from the Poppy the Owl set and adhere into the middle of each rectangle piece for interest. Take a piece of hemp cord and adhere two flower pieces together, attach a heart in the middle and hand on top of the carton with a clothes pin. Fill with a present of your choice. Gut gemacht! – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello and happy Wednesday! Time to share a little card project with you today. I´ve again used plenty of Elizabeth Craft Designs product on this one.

Sanna LippertHere is how I created the card:

Sanna LippertI first cut a piece of Soft Finish Cardstock into a size of 8×14 centimeters, then adhered this piece onto Clear Double Sided Adhesive and ran the paper thru a die cutting machine twice with the Alphabet 2 – Lower Case die cut die. I used some of the alphas for the „Love my Crazy Bunch“ layout (see details here). I then removed all other alphas and saved them for a later project and only used the negative piece for this project.

Sanna LippertNext I used various shades of blue Glimmer Mist to color the die cut piece.

Sanna LippertAfter that I cut several white flowers from the Soft Finish Cardstock using the Bunch of Flowers 4 die cut die. Then I inked the edges of the flowers with light blue Distress Ink. The flowers remind me of one of my favorite spring flowers, Forget Me Not.

Sanna LippertNow all I needed to do was to adhere the inked alpha piece into the middle of a white card base and add some yellow seam binding for additional decoration.

Sanna LippertAfter that I added some rhinestones for additional interest. I used yellow, green and blue ones.

Sanna LippertThen I layered the die cut flowers over each other and added some rhinestones in the middle. Sanna LippertI wanted to add some additional shine to the center of the flowers, so I applied some Glossy Accents and Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter around the rhinestones. I let the glitter dry for a while and then just dabbed the residue away. In the end I just added a hand written sentiment to the card and it was done. Here are some detail photos of the finished card:

For the Love of Squares – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello there! While I was preparing my trip to Creativeworld in Frankfurt, this blog post went up over at the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog. It´s all about squares! I just love to use basic die cut forms, as they can be used in so many various ways.

Here is what I created using the Stitched Square die set:

Sanna Lippert

1. Cut two strips of White Soft Finish Cardstock in appr. 8.5 x 2.75″ inch size. Run through a die cutting machine, three times each piece. Save the leftover strips for another project, as they look a little like photo negative strips and will be a fun starting point for another project!

Sanna Lippert

2. Spray green, red and orange spray ink onto the die cut pieces. Let dry.

Sanna Lippert

3. Add strips of Clear Double Sided Adhesive onto 3 die cut pieces. Then apply Silk Microfine Glitter – Fire Opal onto the adhesive areas and polish with your fingertip to bring out the sparkle.

Sanna Lippert

4. Choose three photos and cut them into the same size as the inked square pieces. To make sure the photos stay put while cutting, adhere them onto the plattform with masking or washi tape (low-tack tape that will not damage the photos).

Sanna Lippert

5. Use the “The Best Things in Life” stamp to stamp the quote onto three of the squares as shown in the photo above. Ink ONLY the part of the saying that is needed for that particular square. Clean the stamp thoroughly and dry it well before inking and stamping the next part. Repeat for the third square.

6. Run a piece of green cardstock thru a die cutting machine using the Fitted Frames 3 Curvy Rectangles die for cutting.

Sanna Lippert

7. Next use turquoise cardstock and one of the Bunch of Flowers 4 dies to cut some flowers. Use 3 full flowers and one half flower.

Sanna Lippert

8. Adhere the 6 misted die cut rectangles and the three photos in rows onto an A4 sized piece of white cardstock. Adhere. Next adhere the flowers and pieces of the Fitted Frames images next to the glittered and stamped areas. Add black ink splatters for additional decoration. Then adhere the center pieces of the Fitted Frames 3 Curvy Rectangles dies underneath the last squares on the left and the right side of the layout.

Sanna Lippert

9. Die cut another piece of Soft Finish Cardstock using the Alphabet 2 – Lower Case die. Remember to add Clear Double Sided Adhesive onto the cardstock before cutting. Save the leftover piece for later for another project.

Sanna Lippert

10. Outline the piece of white white cardstock with a black pen for more contrast.

Sanna Lippert

11. Ink the lower case alphas with black ink and adhere the title of the layout between the die cut images.

Sanna Lippert

12. Add white texture spray droplets here and there for additional detail.

This is how the finished layout looks like. I hope you enjoyed this fun and easy step-by-step tutorial and will get inspired to scrap your own layout this way! For more inspirational projects, please see the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog!!
