Christmas card Wednesday, No. 5 – Tonic Studios

Hello everybody and welcome to another Christmas Card Wednesday. Today I have again prepared a Christmas card for you:

For this card I used plenty of Tonic Studios product again. I´ve added a colored Magnificent Magnolia stamp image (die cut with the matching die set) as a focal point to the card. I also die cut a “Alles Gute Layering Die Set” piece from white cardstock and fussy cut it into a half, leaving all pieces on place for additional fun detail. Then I took some Citrus Green Embellishment Mousse and colored some of the negative areas with a water tank brush and the mousse. This adds a nice additional shine to the card.

The card is matted with blue embossed paper from the Tonic Craft Kit #06 and a red washi tape adds to the colour combination on the left side of the card. Finally I finished the card off with Black Velvet carstock die cut German sentiment. These are available at the QVC channel.

This was this weeks Christmas card idea. I hope you enjoyed it! See you again next week with more ideas (there might be a set of cards coming up then..).

Have a great crafty week,
xxx, Sanna

Congratulation cards – Tonic Studios

Hello there everyone!! Hope your week is going fine :). I have been making some card samples for QVC the past days and here is a set that is on it´s way there. Some of the Tonic Studios products shown here will be sold on the 30th of May on QVC, so if you are interested, you might want to check their channel for more :).

There are also quite a few more cards I created, but I will share those first in a few days time. Also with a short video to go with the cards, so make sure to come back some time end of this week for more!

Alright, so here is one of the cards:

What I did is I first dry embossed the black paper (see full material list at the end of this post for details) with a dry embossing folder. I did that both ways – raised and flat, because this technique works both ways.

Next I die cut the violin from black and golden papers and also die cut the German sentiment (sold on QVC) also from a golden cardstock. I cut the card base at a slight angle and added the embossed and Nuvo Mousse treated black piece on top. Then I adhered the violin pieces together and adhered them onto the inclined piece. The sentiment is adhered on the “inside” of the card, but still shows, since the card is cut in an angle. For finishing touches I added some Nuvo Drops here and there. So, basically, a very easy card to make and boy did I have fun with the Nuvo Mousse!!!!

Here is the second card I made:
And here is the start-to-finish video, to give you a better idea of each and every step of the creating process. Hope you enjoy the video!

Hope you get inspired to try out this technique and the Nuvo Embellishment Mousse yourself!!!

See you soon with more card inspiration,
