Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I´m sharing a set of birthday cards with you. There are again done using very old Basic Grey papers. I´m still stash busting, as you can see.
I´ve just pretty much layered the papers and the chipboards on top of each other and added a stamped sentiment. Stamp is by Elizabeth Craft Designs, by the way.
I still have a few pieces of this paper left, but I´ve basically busted one block of 12×12 paper so far from this collection, so I´m very proud of myself. So today, it´s basically „wordless Wednesday“ as there is not much I can say to these cards :). Hope you like them, tho :).
Happy crafting, xxx, Sanna
Supplies (with alternative papers, as the ones I used are not available anymore):
Hello and happy Monday! Stash busting journey continues and today I´m sharing yet another set of birthday cards, created with older product. These happen to be older Basic Grey papers, rub-ons and chipboard elements on these cards. I really like to patterns and colours and combined with some Elizabeth Craft Designs stamps and Nuvo Drops they really look great, if I say so myself.
Above is set one. As you can see from the background, there are still a few papers to be used, but I´m almost there :). It´s was a full pack of papers, when I started and look where I am already :).
And set two. These are more clean and simple in style. And even the rub-ons still work well, even though they must be almost 10 years old by now. Awesome quality!
For decor I´ve again added some Nuvo Drops and stamps by Elizabeth Craft Desings. Easy peasy and very effective.
I especially like the one with the stamped flowers on it. I don´t know why, really. Maybe, because the background is solely yellow. One of my fave colours!!! And the stamped flowers just work so well with the paper I think.
That´s all from me today! I should get ready to mail some Xmas cards and think about presents, but for some reason, with the lockdown and all, I just cannot move myself towards such things yet. Have you done all preparations yet? I think I find it hard this year, because there will be no normal Christmas and it just does not feel the same…
Have a great day and take care! Sanna
Supplies (papers not the same, tried to find similar ones):
Hello lovelies! Happy Wednesday!!! Today I´m sharing another stenciled card, using my new stencils at STAMPlorations. This stencil, actually, is not a new one, but it went thru a modification process, thus, „new“.
We changed the design into a slightly bigger one, because cutting it was a difficult process. A bigger design makes the cutting easier, so we changed it abit. A second designs that got changed, was Onions in Raws. Totally out of same reasons. So if you bought these two stencils by their reveal, the new ones are slightly different (bigger). The smaller designs will not be available anymore in the store.
For the background I used residue pieces where I pressed a misted stencil onto a white paper and got this colorful image. Then I added the RagRug pattern with black Distress Ink on top. For decor a stamped and fussy cut sentiment and a few older embellishments.
A perfect color combination for fall birthday wishes! Happy crafting, xxx, Sanna
Dear Nancy!! With this card I am wishing you lots of happiness, laughter, health and many, many amazing moments to come! You have a special place in my heart as you love stencils at least as much as I do. You know I love your artworks so much. I am so honoted and happy to be able to congratulate you this way. Have the happiest of day and I hope you get spoiled by your loved ones (hope you can party abit despite the pandemic circumstances..). Sending you lots of love, xxx, Sanna
This card was done using lovely STAMPlorations products, well, because Nancy is a DT colleague at STAMPlorations, so she´d be expecting nothing less, I assume ;-). Also do read Loll´s blog post, because there will be many more people joining in on her celebration – you could even join in yourself (read more on Loll´s blog!!)
It´s a strange time to have a special birthday (I know, because I just had mine), so I think this linky party, organized by Loll, is a fabulous idea!! Thanks for organizing this, Loll!
Hello there and happy last of August!! So summer 2020 is pretty much done and dusted. How was it? For sure different to any other summer I can remember. We stayed at home so much that I have a feeling I have forgotten how to socialize!! I had plenty of crafting time in my hands, but got relatively little done. Really peculiar! The old me would have said: „yes, let´s do this and craft ´till we drop!“ But the new me was drained and empty. I think it´s the uncertainty or the everyday life that kinda puts one „on hold“. And as you are „on hold“ longer, you kind of loose interest on everything.
But luckily, the last days, I´ve felt a little spark again towards crafting. And I just sat down and did random things, like a set of cards. If felt better again, so I´m hoping this feeling will last and get stronger as days go by. Also, the weather is getting colder, so that might spark my crafty mojo more again. Let´s see :).
And now the fun stuff – I did these cards and love how they turned out:
I started with a light blue piece of cardstock and a stencil of mine – Dream Flower – and applied Distress Oxide tones (orange, purple and brown) thru the stencil onto the paper. Then I let the layer dry and after that I stamped the sentiment with black stamp ink on top (the stamp is by Elizabeth Craft Designs).
Next I matted a white card base with some old Basic Grey paper and placed the stenciled and stamped piece on top. A fabric flower and a brad as well as a stamped sentiment for finishing touches, and the card was done.
I also did a second card the same way, only changing the „congrats“ to „happy birthday“ and changing the colors a little bit. I really like the look of the centerpiece with stenciling and stamping on top of each other!
That´s all for today. I hope you have a great first week of September!! Happy crafting, xxx, Sanna
