A set of Christmas cards – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello everyone, it´s my last guest blog post time over at Elizabeth Craft Designs blog today and I´m sharing a set of clean and simple Xmas cards over there. I created quite a few Christmas cards this year, but I still ran out of them, so I needed a few simple, fast and easy ideas to create a few more. So for these cards I deciced to use mainly just the die cut dies and colored cardstock. So if you are looking for fast-to-make cards, this might be exactly what you are looking for.

Here is how I created the cards:

  1. Die cut Soft Finish Cardstock with die cut dies of your choice.
  2. Arrange onto card bases and adhere.
  3. Stamp the sentiment.
  4. Decorate with liquid or glitter pearls. Done!

For the above card I also used a small piece of patterned paper, because it reminded me of snowfall. But you could also use colored cardstock (blue) instead and adherd the die cut snowflakes on place.

Hello everyone, it´s time to start creating Christmas cards, I think. Well, I know there is still Halloween and other occtions coming before Christmas, but this year I am starting earlier with my card production marathon. I will finish them in time this time :)! Here is my first card:
I used one of the new Christmas die cut dies by Elizabeth Craft Designs on this card – the Beautiful Baubles. This card was pretty easy to make. I just took two embossing folders and placed shimmer sheets into them and ran those thru my die cutting machine. After that I just sanded the surface with a sanding block to create the two toned effect. Next I die cut the pieces with the Beautiful Baubles die cut dies.

The Shimmer Sheets will not suffer from the die cutting at all, but you can also do the process in the opposite order and first die cut the pieces, then dry emboss and then sand.

I die cut the twigs with the same die cut set and used an older Pink Paislee paper from my stash for the purpose. I really liked the color of the paper, thus chose to use that particular one. Next I took a piece of Soft Finish Cardstock (Misty Mauve) for the Baubles and I was done with die cutting.

Now I only needed to arrange and adhere the pieces onto a white card base. I finished the card off with a stamped sentiment (Joset Designs) and some liquid pearls and Stickles, as well as some faux stitching along the edges.

First card done, quite a few to go, but I´ve started, so I am pretty proud of myself :). Wishing you a lovely weekend and
