Alpha Flower ATC

Hello and happy Thrusday! This week I´ve sent quite a few envelopes on their way into different locations around the world. I posted a photo of my ATC´s and offered them for swapping. And I honestly didn´t think there would be so many interested 🙂 – so only after one weekend my ATC pile is down to a half of it´s original size. Therefore, time to make MORE :).

So today I´m again sharing an ATC with you. Again using the new Elizabeth Craft Designs product I received last week. This time it´s the alphas.

I had been playing with Distress Inks and Stains on a piece of white paper a while ago and chose to use that piece for an artist trading card background. I then added the stamping. I simply inked the whole stamp set with black ink, while it was still attached to it´s original packaging. This way I had a random alpha pattern on the background.

Then just a few elements, like burlap, twine, a brad and a flower as a centerpiece and for finishing touches some Nuvo Vintage Drops in white. I love the white! Goes with EVERYTHING! I call this card „Alpha Flower“ :-D.

I am totally liking the new Art Journal line at Elizabeth Craft Designs. So stay tuned for more artwork with that. I might need to go shopping for some more *looks innocently into the sky* :).

Father´s Day cards

Hello and happy Monday! Are you familiar with the Planner Essentials series at Elizabeth Craft Designs? No? Well, I think you should take a look at it. They have a great selection of dies that are perfect for planner keeping, but can be also used for something else too. Like cards, for example :)!

I have been avoiding this line on purpose for a while, not because I don´t like it, BUT because I knew it would lead to another addiction. And that, in a long run, is bad for my wallet :). But here we are… I gave in.

The new art journal and planner essentials series work so well together that I just could not resist. I now have a few and I´m afraid it will not end there. Oh dear! Anyhow, I tried them on cards and they are perfect for cardmaking too. Here is another result:

On the first card I used both the Art Journal line stencils as well as Planner Essentials dies (see the supply list at the end for details) on a card. It turned out very masculine due to the papers, so I made Father´s Day cards.

For the second one I used only the die cut dies with patterned paper and stamped sentiment. The wood veneer pieces are from my older stash and fit the masculine theme and feel very well. So I added those too.

I have another idea swirling in my head, but it´s a bit more time consuming to make, so you will have to wait a while for that share. Hope you enjoyed today share. Stay tuned for a few artist trading cards later this week :).

Some of the products (like the wood veneer) are quite old, so I could not find them to add into the supply list, so I tried to find similar/suitable alternatives for you :).
