Altered 2018 notebook cover – STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday

Hello there everyone and happy December!! Today it´s again time to share some STAMPlorations stencil love with you. For this months Stencil Sunday I´ve altered a notebook cover with lots of little bits and bobs and some of my new stencils.

I´ve first added orange acrylic paint thru the Evolution stencil onto the background. Next I used a piece of leftover patterned paper as a base for the 2018 glitter stickers. But before adhering them on their place, I first applied some white modeling paste thru the Flowers 2 stencil here and there.

When the paste was dry, I added some Trees 1 pasted images on top too. Next I added border stickers elements here and there (these are from older stash – good to get that used again here!!). then I just added random details, like liquid pearls, white gel pen circles and Glimmer Glaze droplets here and there.

In the end I outlined the patterend paper with a black gel pen and also added “faux stitching” around the book cover edges with a white gel pen. The book cover was finished in no time. It is full of empty pages inside that just need to be filled with lots of ideas during the coming year. I don´t know about you, but I am eagerly waiting for the new year to start. This year had more downs than ups, so I am happy to say goodbye to it soon. And start filling this book with new ideas!!!

Hope you will be joining the Mixed media and Tagploration challenge over at STAMPlorations blog with us!!! Oh, and don´t miss the projects my creative design team colleagues have made for your inspiration!!

I am also adding my 20 % off gift card code for you as a reminder here:

Altered writing block cover – STAMPLORATIONS

Hello lovelies, it is again time for September´s Mixed Media Challenge & Stencil Sunday at STAMPlorations. My project for this months challenge reveal is an altered writing block cover:

Sanna Lippert - altered, stenciled and stamped writing block coverI´ve prepared a little start-to-finish photo tutorial for this one:

Sanna Lippert - altered, stenciled and stamped writing block coverI started with a notebook I bought some time back at IKEA :). It has lots of sheets for writing down ideas, sketches or anything else creative. However, I wanted to alter the cover to look more like “me” :). Here is what I did:

Sanna Lippert - altered, stenciled and stamped writing block coverI first applied a layer of white gesso to cover the speech bubble abit and prepare the surface for paints and spray inks. Sanna Lippert - altered, stenciled and stamped writing block coverNext I applied some light pink and sunny yellow Glimmer Mist onto the surface (by Tattered Angels). Sanna Lippert - altered, stenciled and stamped writing block coverAfter that I glued some random old book paper strips onto the background and stamped the “be free” sentiment onto the right lower corner. Sanna Lippert - altered, stenciled and stamped writing block coverNext I mixed some texture paste and Inchworm Chalkboard Glimmer Mist together and applied a random layer onto the background thru the “X Marks the Spot” ARTplorations stencil. Sanna Lippert - altered, stenciled and stamped writing block coverWhen the first layer was dry I applied some silver texture medium thru the “Bubbles” ARTplorations stencil onto the background and stamped some flying birds from the STAMPlorations “Trendy Birds 2” stamp set with black ink. I love this stamp set!!!Sanna Lippert - altered, stenciled and stamped writing block coverFinally I stamped with the “Create” STAMPlorations stamp set and black ink onto a old book sheet and fussy cut and glued the pieces on their places. Next I added all kinds of bits and pieces (die cutting leftover pieces, ink splatters, old paper flowers from my stash, ink splatters, rhinestones etc.) onto the cover page until I was happy with the result. This is how the finished piece looks like: Sanna Lippert - altered, stenciled and stamped writing block coverNow it feels so much more like me :). NOW IT´S YOUR TURN, click on the image underneath to jump over to the STAMPlorations blog to take a look at the other projects my team colleagues created AND join in on the challenge (just note that you need to create a mixed media piece by using at least one stencil and anything goes, EXCEPT CARDS!!! The linky closes at the end of the month and there are prizes to be won 🙂 !!
Have fun!!!!

I am also submitting this notebook to the Craft Stamper September Take It Make It Anything Goes challenge!
