Hello and happy Monday! Here is one more stash-busting-project based card. I hope you are not getting tired of these? I love making them and discovering, how quite old produkt works together with newer ones. And the funny thing is, they REALLY do! Even the colours match! How amazing is that!??
For this card I again used the Pink Paislee Truly Grateful tiny 2×2 inch paper pads to create the “quilt-style” background. The size is perfect for a card background!
And for decor I used really quite old embellishments (chipboard flowers etc.). These are mostly by Basic Grey (I think) and Cosmo Cricket and go quite a long time back in time. At least 10 years if not longer…
For additional decor I added hand drawn faux stitching and a stamped sentiment from my Stampin´Up! stamp collection. That´s the whole magic behind this card. And it´s still quite flat, so it should be not problem to mail it to someone.
I hope your week got a good start and you get to enjoy summer abit. I have a few things planned, crafty wise, but this time it´s more home improvement type of crafting. I am planning on painting a room and decorating it totally new. I might even add a few photos during the process to my blog, if you are interested. So let me know :). xxx, Sanna
Hello everyone and happy Saturday! Today I´m sharing another clean and simple card, done using some Pinkfresh Studio/Altenew stamps with matching dies.
I haven´t given “proper” coloring a try so far. I think it´s because I don´t have the patience. I bet if I put my mind to it, I could eventually do nice coloring, but it just hasn´t been my number one priority so far. Therefore I love layering stamps you can “color” flowers and leaves with :). So easy and not much thinking necessary.
That is why I adore this stamp and die set. So, so cool to work with. I´ve done several colours so far and it has always been so much fun. This is my latest take – soft pastel colours in Kitsch Flamingo. The stencil on the background is from my stencil line at STAMPlorations and works really well with the flower. The sentiment is older Stampin´Up! collection and the drops are done with Nuvo Drops.
I have been thinking about signature style alot. I really don´t know if I have one. I love to use certain products and media, but that hardly counts as signature style. When you see my work, do you immediately recognize it is done by me? And what makes it stand out as my work? I´d love to hear your comments on that, so please drop me a line (if there are still any people reading this blog?!!)… Thank you!
Wishing you a lovely weekend! Lots of sunshine, creativity and summer joys! xxx, Sanna
Hello and happy Thursday! Today I´m back with another clean and simple card share using a Pinkfresh Studio / Altenew stamp and die set with my stencil design from STAMPlorations.
I´ve used the “build a flower” stamp set and then die cut it with the matching die to create the flower. For the background I used Distress Ink in Speckled Egg tone with my RagRug stencil. The stamped sentiment is by Stampin´ Up! And the dots are done with Nuvo Vintage Drops. Very clean in style, but I just love the white space here!
Today would have been my dad´s 81st birthday. He has been gone for 29 years now. I´ve spent 24 of those years abroad. Today I´m again thinking about him on his birthday. Thus a birthday card share for today. I hope you have a good one, dad!
Hello everyone and happy Saturday! Today I´m stopping by to share one more card from the series I did a while back. I really do like creating clean-and-simple cards from time to time!
For this card I used one of my stencils (available at STAMPlorations) and a stamp and die set by Pinkfresh Studio / Altenew.
I find this stamp and die set so practical. See, I am not much of a flower colorer (well, I haven´t really put so much effort into it so far, because it wasn´t my main interest until now :)..). So, this type of stamps are perfect for a girl like me. Pick a color in various shades and stamps. EASY!
Then die cut, add a background and a die cut sentiment and you are good to go. And I get many cards done in one sitting :).
Hello and happy Monday! I´ve still got a few clean and simple cards to share that I did a while back. Here is again one of them:
For this card I used the Pinkfresh Studio/Altenew stamp set for creating the flowers. It also come with a matching die cut set, which makes creating these flowers so very easy! And the Thankful sentiment is also in the set. So I did a red toned flower this time and added red stenciling onto the background, using one of my own stencil designs (available at STAMPlorations).
As much as I love doing really bold and sometimes very crazy mixed media heavy cards, I also enjoy these clean and simple ones as much. Therefore, one day you will see me do this type of card and the other totally something else :).
Wishing you a lovely day! Hope the weather at your end is better than here, it´s been cold and rainy for weeks now. I wouldn´t mind the sun showing itself for a change!!
