Water – Dani Peuss September Kit

Hello everyone and happy Thursday! Today I am stopping by to share a layout that I created using the Dani Peuss September Main Scrapbook Kit. I did a A4-size page for a change. Here it is:

I printed a photo strip with my Canon Selphy and added the Simple Stories ephemera from the Dani Peuss September Kit around it. I then added a journaling sticker next to the photo strip. This is by Heidi Swapp (Journal Studio Stickers) and was part of the surprise sticker pack buy I made in July at Dani Peuss online store.

The alpha stickers are white stickers from the kit which I first colored in light blue and then added white Signo-Uni-Ball marker dots on top. The stamping is done with the Klartext stamp that comes with the September kit. For stamping I used the VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink tone (also available at the DP store).

I hope you enjoyed my layout and hopefully also got inspired by it! I love water and swimming – it soothes my soul and helps me reduce stress and forget about all sorrows. So this pool of ours (even though not quite finished yet) has brought me so much joy already. I am so glad we decided to build one!

What is something that brings you peace of mind?

Veggie-Album April pages – Dani Peuss

Hello and happy Friday! Today I´ m stopping by to share the April double-page from my year long Veggie-Album. I recorded a video with the steps, too.

For this months pages I used the Dani Peuss April Kit and stamp set that came with the kit. I wrote some of the text down onto the journaling card that also were in the kit. For writing the text down I used my old typewriter again. Most of the journaling is written on to the stamped journaling areas and the stamping is done with the stamp set that came with the monthly kit. The decoration is done with the Tim Holtz embellishments that also were in the kit. Works all so well together.

For the pink stamped words on the top right corner I used no-name alcohol markers in two tones to create the fun effect. The album itself is the March Add-On at the Dani Peuss store. And for the base I used Good Stuff Stickers from the February Dani Peuss kit (there is a video on my YT channel with a flip thru of the base, if you are interested).

I really like how these pages turned out. Lots and lots of journaling this month and less photos. Also the Tim Holtz embellisments fit the page so well. I can´ t believe it´ s been now 3 months and a few days of vegetarian menü for me! So much has changed!! I feel much better now than 3 months ago.

Hope you enjoyed today´ s post! See you again very soon with a Christening card share and hopefully again some daily art practice videos soon :).

Have a great weekend!

“Go Veggie”-Albumseiten für März 2022 – Dani Peuss

You are appreciated tag – TAGplorations May challenge reveal

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! Today it´s again time to share this months TAGplorations challenge with you. This monts theme is: All About Mom and as an additional element you are asked to use Vellum.

This is my take for the reveal:

I took a piece of vellum and stamped the Heartfelt Hibiscus stamp image onto it, then poured white embossing powder over the stamped image and heat set the powder. Next I flipped the image around and colored it from the reverse side with alcohol markers and then adhered the fussy cut image onto the tag base with clear double sided adhesive tape.

For decoration I added some faux stitching around the edges with a white Signo Uni-ball pen and stamped sentiments from “For The Birds” stamp set onto dark purple cardstock. Those again got heat embossed with white embossing powder. For finishing touches I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze onto the smaller flowers and silver Nuvo sequins to additional sparcle here and there.

The ribbon has exactly the same color as the purple carstock and the pink patterned paper is from my older stash (still destashing here by using it all up) and got die cut with the Nesting Manila Tag die set´s biggest sized tag die. I think the sentiment fits this months theme really well as we should appreciate what our mom´s do for us!

Now is your turn to play and join our challenge!!! Hop over to the STAMPlorations blog HERE to see what the design team girls created for your inspiration and then submit your own work following the rules (see the STAMP blog for all details!!). Tangled greetings – Canvas Corp Brands

Hi there and happy Friday! We have gorgeous sunshine here today and I´m really enjoying the rays of sun – funny, how they immediately bring a smile on my face!! So it´s end of February already. My month was full of ups and downs and I will share more about it in due course, when the time is right. Don´t worry, nothing like I´m seriously ill or something, just normal ups and downs life sometimes throws on our paths to see if we can cope with them and maybe also to learn us to cherish the days more when there are no obstacles on our way. I´ve been told, it´s going to be all good and something better always evolves from change, but I´m afraid you see these things first afterwards and I´m not quite there yet, so cannot quite see it yet ;-).

So instead I´m going to enjoy the sunshine and the gorgeous weather today. Boy have I missed the sun!!! :). And now for the most important part – a few cards!

I made these with various Canvas Corp Brands products. Mainly used the Tattered Tangles papers and some Tattered Angels mists. Can´t go wrong with those, right? 🙂 So what´s Tattered Tangles then, you are probaby thinking. They are pre-made papers with all kids of zentangles on them (here is a link for you to see what Zentangles is all about). Canvas Corp. has all kinds of pre-made papers in this style. The idea is to use them as they are or as a base for further “zentangling”. Sometimes it´s hard to draw the first line on white paper and these papers will help you start :). Then there are papers that have motives on them, like presents. I´ve used those on my cards. You could either decorate them a little bit more (= add more zentangles) or leave them as they are and give them a touch of color instead. That is what I´ve done on these cards. I just colored them with alcohol markers. Really easy to do and the paper absorbs other colors too. You could use mists, glazes, crayons and regular coloring pens even. I wanted to get a strong color so I chose alcohol markers.

For the background I´ve added a piece of watercolor paper which I sprayed with similar tones of Glimmer Mist. That way both the present image and the background go nicely together. The background is really easy to do, just spray some color onto the background, use a heat gun to dry it and if preferred add some more color and heat dry again.

After coloring the present images and creating the background I just glued everything on their places. I used 3D foam pads to glue down the presents. That way they stand out a little bit. I´ve also added a slight layer of glitter glue on the bow to give it a touch of sparkle.

Finally I just used some hand carved stamps (made by a lovely friend of mine – thank you!) to stamp the black dye ink sentiment on the cards. I find the the style of the stamps goes really well with the tangled papers. That´s it, the cards are all done. This is really easy and fast to do – and fun – so I hope you give these papers a try! There will be another project coming up soon, same kind of papers, but totally different direction – can´t wait to share it with you as I had so much fun making it! 🙂

Ok, I´m off now. Wishing you all a lovely, sunshine filled weekend!!!
