Spring Fling, vol. 2 – STAMPlorations

Hello lovelies, today I´d like to share my second STAMPlorations Spring Fling project with you. For today´s post I´ve prepared a happy flower tag with lots of various STAMPlorations products. Here we go:

Here is a peek o the finished project, but let me share the steps with you first:

Step 1: Apply orenge toned Distess Ink onto the Daisy Dance stencil and add a slight layer of water mist on top. Now press the stencil with the wet ink surface onto a piece of white paper. That creates the above look.

Step 2: Stamp flowers using the Blooming Buds clear stamp set with watermark ink and white embossing powder onto a piece of white paper. Stamp first, then pour a layer of embossing powder over the stamped image, dab the residue off and heat set the powder with a heat tool.

Step 3: Color the stamped flower images with two to three tones of Distress Ink using a water tank brush. Start with a lighter tone and move towards darker tones, creating shadows and depth.

Step 4: Die cut the stenciled paper piece using the Stitched Nesting Tag die set. Next take a Leaves 2 stencil and place it onto the die cut tag. Dab green Distress Paint thru the stencils onto the tag surface and let dry.

Step 5: Apply ink splatters in orange and green Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist tones onto the surface and let dry. Now fussy cut the colored flower images and adhered them onto the tag surface with paper glue. Add a stamped sentiment from the same stamp set. Stamp with black ink for contrast. Decorate the flowers with silver sequins and add a piece of ribbon to the tag. Finish off with a few black Glimmer Glaze droplets.

This is how my finished Spring Tag looks like:

I hope you enjoyed todays tag tutorial and got inspired to create a fun tag yourself!!

Here are a few detail shots of my tag :).

And now, be sure to follow the STAMPlorations blog for even more fun Spring Fling projects every day until April 12th!!! Wishing you lots of luck with the giveaways!!!

Happy crafting,
