Hello there lovelies! It´s again time to share this months Mixed Media Card Challenge blog´s May challenge. The challenge theme is REFLECTIONS and you can use WATER as optional element.
This is how I interpreted the theme:
I created a sunset scenery. I first used Brusho with watercolor paper to create the water surface, then added yellow and white ink to create the reflection of the sun. For the sky I used Distress Inks (blue, pink and orange) and inked first the sun and then the blue sky. Next I placed a The Crafter´s Workshop stencil over the sky and applied some orange and pink ink thru the stencil onto the sky. The clouds are created with water and the birds are hand drawn.
Here are some detail shots:
Finally I wanted to add some interest to the water surface, so I rubbed Tim Holtz Rubbings onto it. The sun also has a layer of Gold Metallic creative Medium by Imagine Crafts on it for additional interest and dimensionality. The stencil here is also by The Crafter´s Workshop. The mountains on the horizon are fussy cut from Through the Lens – Stone patterned paper set by Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I hope you find the time to join in on this challenge with us!!! Looking forward to seeing your creations!!!
See you at MMCC,
xxx, Sanna
