I´ve never really tried to create a masculine Christmas card before, so I thought why not try… Here is my take on a masculine Xmas card:
I don´t know how well I managed to accomplish this challenge, but there are all kinds of “manly” elements in the card :). I´ve used a leftover piece of a star 3D foam adhesive sheet and treated it with a silver toned Silk Microfine Glitter. The name of the glitter alone is masculine; Brushed Pewter. Sounds very much like there is some manly work involved in BRUSHED pewter 😉 …. I´ve also attachted the 3D sheet onto a piece of weathered wood patterned paper. Also very masculine kind of stuff, don´t you think? Then a few silver and bronze toned half pearls, also not that feminine. I´ve used silver and blue tones – keeping everything feminine away from the color sheme. And the sentiment is stamped on a blue inked piece of cardstock. Nothing girly, no butterflies, no flowers and very clean and simple. And the stars are not cute, the have clear lines and form :). So I´m thinking if I am to send a Christmas card to man, this might work out :).
So what do you think? Would you say this is a masculine looking Christmas card. If so, then I´ve managed to accoplish my self set challenge :). Hope you are still enjoying some days off the busy everyday life and speding it with your fave people!
I am also joining a challenge with this card over at Cardz 4 Guyz blog. Their Challenge #185 is called: Last Minute Christmas. This card is faily quick and easy to make, so it would be perfect for those last minute occations. Besides, it´s a card for a guy, so I just could not resist joining that challenge :).
Happy holidays and happy crafting,
