Creative Midsummer Challenge – Day 11

Here is another card I made for the Creative Midsummer Challenge. The theme for day 11 was “seagull”.

I again used plenty of old papers for this card (good to get those into use!!!). For die cutting I used Elizabeth Craft Designs nesting circle dies and the birds are done with a STAMPlorations stencil and white gesso.

The grey wings are done with a water brush pen and some Stabilo all black. I love this pencil – I use it EVERYWHERE! And the sentiment is again stamped with a Klartext stamp. The sentiment translates to: “More sea. Saltwater always helps”.

Have a great day!

Daily Art Practice – May 13th

Hello and happy Wednesday! Here is another page from my DAP-Journal again:

I used Gelatos and Neocolors with Stabilo all black pen and added some Klartext stamping on top. This was a fun one to do, playing with the numbers.

We have a national holiday today, so I´ ll just drop this here and go back enjoying some family time and time off.

Have a great day, everyone!

Daily Art Journal – May 5th

Hello and happy Sunday! Today I am again sharing another page from my “DAJ” (daily art journal). Here is may 5th:

I used Neocolor 2 crayons for this one again and pearlescent watercolours for the background.

And I added again a Klartext “Denglish” stamp image onto the page. This means translated into proper english something like: enjoy your life to the fullest. That is a good reminder for a Sunday, isn´ t it?

Have a great one!

Daily Art Practice – May 2nd

Hello and happy Thursday! Today I am again stopping by to share another Daily Art Practice piece with you.

For this page I used magazine pages as well as old book pages to mimic the colours and patterns on the original almanac page (Artistic Almanac 2022). And the idea worked out quite nicely.

I used pearlescent golden watercolour on the top, Posca pens and white gesso towards the bottom and in the middle some Distress Crayons. And finished the page off with a Klartext stamp again.

Hope your week is getting along nicely! I have started speech therapy after the surgery and so far it is going well. I am also very happy to have a voice again and to be able to use it. It will take at least 6 months to recover, but I am on a good path.

Take care, everyone!

Essen gehen – Dani Peuss

Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing yet another layout that I created using the Dani Peuss September Kit and some Klartext stamps. Now this is not my usual go-to paper colour, but for some reason, it felt right for these photos.

I combined the Simple Stories Let´ s Go collection with the Dani Peuss paper (both included in the kit) and added some bits from the Sticker sale bag that I bought in summer from the Dani Peuss store. I love adding some bits and bobs to my layouts.

These photos were taken during Corona and it was one of the occations, we actually could go out to eat for a change. And it felt very good to go to a real restaurant.

We stayed quite a while there and enjoyed the company of friends and had so good food and a few drinks too. Being in and out of lockdowns was the normal procedure during that time and getting the possibility to go out and enjoy a relatively normal nicht out was truly something special. Thus the layout!

My travelling themed September kit sure has stretched out to suit quite a few other everyday life themes too! So as you can see, you don´ t necessarily have to go with the travel theme, if you don´ t want to :).

I hope you have enjoyed my September kit shares so far! See you tomorrow with another Daily Art Journal page.

Take care,
xxx, Sanna
