„How runs it at you?“

Hello and happy Monday! Are you familiar with „Denglish“? It´ s German phrases translated into english basically word for word. So it probably sounds very horrible for a native English speaking person, but German native speakers find them quite funny and they have become very trendy. Well, I now own a Denglish stamp set that I absolutely love 🙂 – thus this card:

I got mine from Dani Peuss – it´ s one of the Klartext stamp sets. This particular sentiment, translated into proper English means: „How are you doing?“. I´ ve also used the „Scribble Kreise“ stamp set and the „Mixed Media Christmas“ stamp set on this card with „Deglish 2“ stamp set. I used watercolour paper on the background and inked the circle image with Distress Oxide ink tones and misted the ink before stamping. That created a „watercolour“ image. After the background was dry, I added some patterns with yellow oxide ink and finished the card off with black stamped sentiments and a few enamel dots.

It´ s a special card that will need a recipient who „gets“ the denglish expression :-). I hope all is good at your end and your week started in a nice way. Fall is here, so I´ m a bit sad, like every year, because I already miss summer. But I will just have to craft the sadness away.

Have a great week,
xxx, Sanna
