Get inspired by a moodboard – Paperilla-lehti

Hi there lovelies! Today it is again my turn to share with you a project at the Paperilla magazine´s blog. This time it is all about getting inspired by a moodboard. This particular one was put up by myself, the photos are all from Pinterest (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

this is how my “DIY” moodboard inspired layout turned out:

I got inspired mainly by the colours. In addition I lined the bright papers that are tucked behind the photo somewhat in the middle of the layout ( the line up is inspired by the pile of pillows and the ball of wool photo). See the photo on the lower left corner of the moodboard. I took some stars into my layout from there, but then I also divided/cut my background papers to match the 2/3-1/3 division of the photo background. Colours are obviously inspired by all the photos. Then I drew some signs onto the background. They build the journaling of the page and are also inspired by the lower right corner photos. I drew all the text and images myself. The biggest sign is also inspired by the right upper corner signs (see the numbers there :)..). So a moodboard can be interpreted in such many ways. Some of them very obvious and some of them can be just tiny parts from here and there that lead to an idea.

Even thought I am not a fan of my own handwriting, I chose to do all the journaling and drawing myself. Since this is a page about me, I found that I should stay true to myself and use my own handwriting. Would be interesting to see how you would interpret this moodboard! Next time, when you are looking for inspiration, why not gather some images together and build your very own moodboard and get inspired by it!! And if you are not familiar with photo editing programs, just cut and gather some nice images together and glue them down on a piece of paper or hang them on a wall in front of you. AND have fun!!!!

Happy scrapping,
xoxo, Sanna
