Birthday card

Hello and happy Monday! Today I´d like to share a 50th birthday card with you. I´ve used plenty of my older paper stash papers to create this card in orange and red tones. This is not a combination I do often, as orange does not happen to be one of my favorite colours, but in this case, the card had to have these colours.

I started by adhering the polka dot paper onto a white card base (size A5). Then I die cut the 5 and the 0 from various patterned papers using Tonic Studios die cut dies. I adhered the numbers in place with liquid adhesive (also by Tonic).

Next I added plenty of bits and bobs like enamel circles, Nuvo Pearls, puff stickers and a die cut speech bubble piece. The sentiment is done using Thickers alphas. For finishing touches I also outlined the numbers with a black pen.

Since my card was bigger than a regular card size, I had to make a matching envelope for it. I used a 12×12 patterned paper from my older paper stash for that and folded it into an envelope. For decoration I added some Basic Grey stickers onto the envelope. Now these go back quite a few years, but they really work well with all the papers and patterns here.

That´s it for today, be sure to stop by on Thursday when I will be sharing another The Wild Hare Kits August kit project here on my blog :).

Happy crafting,
xxx, Sanna
