Hello there – it´s time to share the STAMPlorations Mixed Media November challenge reveal post with you today. For this months post I´ve created a set of ATC´s.
When I started creating these artist trading cards, a quote kept coming to my mind all the time. So I named this set after that quote: “Don´t judge a book by it´s cover”. See the look of these ATCs? They are supposed to remind one of a book cover :-D.
At least that was what I was aiming for when creating these. I´ve first adhered patterned paper onto the ATC base, then applied white and red Distress Paint thru the Bubbles Mini stencil onto the paper. After that I added black Glimmer Glaze droplets and outlined the pieces with a back pen (faux stitching).
Then I added a piece of corrugated cardstock and green burlap with a piece of twine. These are supposed to create a book spine look. finally I added some silver thread, buttons and a stamped sentiment which I fussy cut and adhered to the base with 3D foam. That´s it! I hope you get inspired to try out some mixed media yourself and join in on this months challenge! Here you will find all the details on how to play along and what to create! Just remember that almost anything goes, except a card & that you are asked to use at least one stencil on your project. Now hop over to the STAMPlorations blog to see what my DT colleagues have created for this months reveal.
Happy crafting,
xxx, Sanna
