Celebrate shaker card – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello everyone! I experimented with a shaker card idea recently. For this card I combined the Basic Rectangle dies with the Flower Burst Background die by Elizabeth Craft Designs – creating a „shaker window with a pattern“.

I die cut several layers of frames first and then did one background die pattern from the same paper. All the steps are in the video, so for details, check it out at the end of this post :).

And for fillings behind the acetate layer I added plenty of confetti in various tones. I figured, this could be a Christmas card, because of the colours. And everyone loves a little confetti for a festive season (at least in a sealed environment, like inside a card :)…).

I love using the Elizabeth Craft Designs background dies so much. Joset does a great job designing them. And confetti can also be my friend, if it is not flying around everywhere, but instead closed safely inside a card :). So I´ve also officially started my Christmas card production of 2020 with this card then – it´s about time, it´s already mid October!!

Have a great weekend and happy crafting!

Metallic toned die cut cards – Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hello everyone and happy Thursday!! Today I´m back at Elizabeth Craft Designs blog with another guest design team member post. This card idea started from idea to use white Soft Finish Cardstock in a different way. Also, due to the pandemic weddings had to be postponed by many people this summer and are now slowly taking place, the need for wedding cards moved to fall. Thus the love theme today.

For this card idea I´ve used only the same dies and yet they all look so different. It´s because I´ve treated them with a metallic media. My starting point by each of these cards was the same; white Soft Finish Cardstock!

All 3 cards still look so different due to the color choices. The dies are the same, only the colours vary. And the background paper I´ve used for matting everything.

I´ve again recorded a step-by-step video for you to watch – hope you like the idea!

Be sure to check out the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog for written steps and more photos of all cards.

I hope you could inspire you today to see the versatility of plain white cardstock. There are so many ways to give it a different look and it´s always a great starting point for many projects.

Also I would like to note that hoarding various media is not a good idea. This happened to me recently when I opened one of my Nuvo Embellishment Mousses. They had ALMOST completely dried up! I was able to save a few, but also had to toss quite a few. So, take my word for it: use the product you buy. Use it before it get´s old! So these cards were also an opportunity to use up some of those mousses. You might be seeing other metallized projects showing up here on my blog – I learned my lesson and am for sure going to use the product now and not be sorry later :).

I´ll be back next month with another Elizabeth Craft Designs guest member project. Hope to see you then!!

Happy crafting,

Groovy

Hello and happy (groovy?) Monday!! I missed WCMD (World Card Making Day), but hey, I actually DID make cards that day. Only, that the projects will be shared to a later date :-D! So to do some belated WCMD celebrating, I´m sharing a fun card I created past weekend. It just makes me smile and who does not need a smile on a Monday?!

I just love how this card turned out. It´s nothing complicated, really, but it´s the look on his face with the red nose enamel dot and the sentiment „groovy“ that brings a wide grin on my face. Hope it does on yours too!!?

So it´s again Monday and it´s going to be another tough week, but I hope to bring some happiness and joy to you with this card. I love the colours too. The background is from a a Dina Wakley Collage Collective book and the stenciling is done with one of my stencil designs „Winter Flowers“ using a Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in pink. The man is from people sets by Tim Holtz and the sentiment is written by my lovely friend Lizzy. And the enamel dot is my older stash.

Can´t wait to give this card to someone special! And I need to mention here that I definitely do need a day between Sunday and Monday. It always seems that the weekends are too short, by the time I have got my energy levels up for all kinds of fun stuff, it´s again Sunday and time is running out.. Anyone else with me on this?

Hope you have a great week with lots of crafty time, beautiful fall weather (hopefully sunshine!) and nice long walks between all the work crazy.

Happy crafting,

4th Sanna Lippert Designs stencil reveal – STAMPlorations

Hello everyone, it´s Sanna here today with a special share. I am so excited to be able to share my 4th set of stencil designs with you!! A huge thank you to Shery for making all this possible and believing in me and my designs.  Without her, none of this would be possible. So thank you again, Shery! I am so happy to be part of the STAMPlorations family.

Early this spring (before the pandemic hit the world) I had this set ready for a release, but then the pandemic happened and everything got postponed abit. But better late than never! So today I´m happy to be able to share a little video with all of you, featuring the new designs. I wanted to do this earlier, but since shipping was not working between the US and Europe at all, it was not possible unti now. One parcel was even retourned back to Shery and never reached me. Finally, a few weeks ago the stencils arrived, so I am now able to share some stencil goodness with you.

And to give you a better idea on the new designs, I´ve recorded a video featuring every single design. I hope you enjoy it!

I have been having so much fun with the stencils, so before I leave you today, I would like to show you just a few examples I created.

(Abstract Prehistoric Life )

 (Amaranth)

 (Rainbows)

  (Zodiac Set 3

(Holly)

Also, be sure to follow the stencil challenges, as I will be sharing more projects, created using the new stencil line, throughout this fall with you. I would love to hear what you think about the new stencils, so leave a comment over at the STAMPLORATIONS BLOG to the original post and tell which is your favorite and what you would use it for, it might just be, that you can win your favorite stencil 😉 !!!

Wishing you all a fabulous day and happy stenciling!
Stay safe and take care,
Sanna

October Stencil Challenge – STAMPlorations

Hello everyone and welcome back to the STAMPlorations Stencil challenge!! It´s good to be back after the summer break inspiring you all with the challenges! We are hoping to see lots and lots of entries this month :). So get your crafty on and join the fun with us!

Here is my artwork for the reveal:

I played in my Ranger (black) Art Journal and created this page. I´ve got plenty of spray ink layers going on on the backgrond. Done with some of my new stencils (Amaranth, Abstract Prehistoric Life and Abstract April Showers).

The panda bears are talking to each other on this page. They say: „Help! I am falling!“ and the second one answers: „Don´t worry! I´ll catch you!“. As life has been tough during the summer and spring, I felt like creating a page like this at this point of the 2020 pandemic.

Now it´s again your turn. Do check out the STAMPlorations blog for more details (+ play by the rules!) and inspiration!! Hoping to see many of you join in!!

Happy stenciling,
xxx, Sanna
